DTEC Engineering and International Power and Marine Group, or IPM Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will see the two businesses collaborate on specialist engineering projects across the marine and waste-to-energy sectors.
The agreement brings together DTEC’s established expertise in automated weld overlay and proprietary Vclad technology, with IPM Group’s global engineering, project delivery and onsite installation capabilities.
The collaboration will provide customers with an integrated solution spanning engineering design, off-site fabrication, installation, commissioning, inspection, repair and long-term maintenance support.
Under the MoU, the companies will work together to identify and deliver opportunities across the UK and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, supporting both new-build and life-extension projects.
By combining DTEC’s automated welding capabilities with IPM Group’s extensive onsite experience and international customer network, the partnership aims to deliver improved efficiency, reduced installation durations and enhanced project delivery through greater use of off-site prefabrication.
